The Amazing Aztecs
What your students will learn:
1) Explore what daily life would have been like as an Aztec. Learn about worship and religion, clothing, art and entertainment, home life, social life, hunting and gathering food.
2) Consider how society treated people differently based upon their social class. Understand how they used a strict social hierarchy, in which individuals were identified as nobles and commoners.
3) Investigate how the Aztecs lived as a nomadic community.
Performance techniques they’ll be using:
1) Use role play and props to hunt and gather food for your family, experience daily life as an Aztec in the higher and lower classes.
2) Use drama and music to understand how important art was to the Aztecs, and how they used it to worship their gods.
3) Use voice and movement to explore the poetry they wrote and the sculptures they made.
