What your students will learn:

1) Explore key terms and natural phenomena, such as the Richter Scale and Tectonic Plates.

2) Understand how in parts of the world Earthquakes and Volcanic eruptions happen more regularly, and what methods they use to keep themselves safe.

3) Explore Natural Disasters from around the world, and understand how they occur, and the aftermath of the disasters in the people living locally.

Performance techniques they’ll be using:

1) Use dance to choreograph your very own Earthquake Safety Dance!

2) Use role play and drama to understand thoughts and feelings of those who live in countries impacted by Natural Disasters. Creating a National Geographic style documentary performance, demonstrating where the disasters happen, and the characteristics of each.

3) Take part in a fun drama gameshow, using props, including colourful buzzers and wigs, full of new facts to discover and test out knowledge!
