Mindfulness and Wellbeing

What your students will learn:

1) The meaning of Mindfulness and how they can use it in their everyday lives.

2) How to use a Body Scan Meditation to self- soothe and regulate their emotions, in order to feel calmer.

3) Understand how the mind and body are linked, and how we can engage our five senses: Touch, Taste, Sight, Smell, and Sight, to bring ourselves into the present moment.

Performance techniques they’ll be using:

1) Role play and drama games/exercises will be used to explore how we can use mindfulness. For example, how it can be used in the classroom or playground.

2) Breathing exercises and visualisation will be used to engage in a Body Scan Meditation.

3) Improvisation, drama, characterisation and movement will be used to explore our ‘Five Superpower Senses’ and students will be given the opportunity to become superheroes! They will be using superhero masks in order to get into role!
